How can I let a reader get in contact with me?

When reporting a sighting, you have the option to enable direct replies from future readers. If you check the box to enable this, your MIT certificate will be read. MIT community members (authenticated by a certificate) will be able to send you an email through the site. Your email address is never revealed to anyone browsing the site and will not be used for any other purpose.

I think a post is about me. Can I contact the author?

If the author has enabled it (the post has an envelope icon), you can send an email to the author. By clicking the envelope, you will be taken to a page that will send your message to the author. Your MIT certificate will be read during this process. We will send an email to the author on behalf. Whether the author replies is up to him/her...
